Spain: Sea transport, new line for Mediterranean

(ANSAmed) - MADRID, FEBRUARY 2 - A company of the Danish AP Moller Maersk Group for intra-European services, Seago Line, has recently opened a new sea link in the Mediterranean, with cargo ships calling at the ports of Algesiras, Valencia , Tangiers, Alexandria, Mersin, Haifa, Ashod and Salerno for the group's intra-oceanic connections. The news was announced b sources in the company, quoted by the portal Europasur Espana. Another new sea link for AE20 freight between the Spanish Mediterranean, North Africa and the Far East was opened by Maersk Line. This weekly route will cover the journey between the ports of Valencia, Malaga, Algesiras, Tangiers, Singapore, Xingdao (China), Busan (South Korea), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Nansha (China), Malaysia, returning to Valencia. In the past days, the company also announced the start of a new service between the ports of Valencia, Baia di Algesiras, Malaga, Barcelona, returning to Valencia, also on a weekly basis. Goal of the initiative is to increase import and exports through the ports of the Mediterranean Sea, and to form a link with trans-oceanic lines. (ANSAmed)
