(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, JUNE 18 - In the January-May of this year, in
Tunisia 1,906,382 tourists, which translates into a +48%
increase on the first five months of the previous years. The
comparison with 2010 is instead still negative at -13.6%.
According to the specialised site African Manager, most of the
arrivals (1,097,255) were from North African countries, with
Libyans (813,476) who - despite the trials and tribulations
their country has seen recently - are still clearly in the lead.
There were 755,401 Europeans, while Middle Eastern visitors
numbered 14,285. Rounding off the ''rankings'' was the North
American market, from which just 12,336 tourists arrived.
