The most appealing sectors for investors - logistics, energy, tourism, the food industry, the aerospace industry, education and culture - will be under the spotlight in six seminars within the meeting 'Strengthening the strategic partnership between Italy and Turkey for the economic growth of the Mediterranean' held all day in the Italian capital.
The event's aim is to focus on new sectors in which Italian companies can invest.
Italian ambassador Gianfranco Varvesi, who is chairing the seminar on the energy sector, told ANSAmed that the main areas on which efforts should be concentrated are key sectors such as transport, logistics, tourism and energy.
'The railways, highways and ports represent a great opportunity of growth for Italian companies planning to invest in Turkey', said Varvesi.
In the morning the six talks will be held across Rome while in the afternoon, starting at 3.30 pm, the lower house of Parliament will host a joint assembly to be introduced by Senator Stefano De Lillo, who chairs the Italy-Turkey Cooperation and Friendship Association, and Turkey's ambassador to Italy, Hakki Akil.(ANSAmed).
