According to the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu), besides examining the results achieved by the programme so far, the conference intends to act as a platform for reflection and exchanges of views on future opportunities for cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region. In the context of the drafting of new EU regulations related to the EU's Neighbourhood Policy, the conference aims to analyse to what extent this policy, especially its cross-border component, has changed Euro-Mediterranean relations. The conference will also gather information about the main expectations from governments, EU institutions, regional authorities, municipalities and civil society, from the upcoming 2014-2020 EU programming period.
The ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007/2013 is a multilateral cross-border cooperation programme co-financed by the EU and comes under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument. (ANSAmed)
