Cinema: Med Film Factory gives support to arab film makers

Project organizes training sessions for semi-professionals

(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 20 - Semi-professional Arab film directors and producers from the Southern Mediterranean partner countries are being offered the opportunity to improve their creative and professional skills while supporting the realization of their projects. According the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu), training and mentoring sessions have been organised by the Med Film Factory project, implemented as part of the EU-funded Euromed Audiovisual III programme.

Three sessions will be held as follows: directors' workshop (July 2012); producers' coaching programme (December 2012); independent film assembly (Spring 2013). Med Film Factory teams, tutors and mentors will provide directors and producers with an ongoing support between sessions and even after the programme has ended to strengthen their projects and develop them further.

The deadline for submitting applications is 22 April 2012. The Euromed Audiovisual III programme aims to contribute to the development and strengthening of the capacity of the film sector in the ENPI South region (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia) and to contribute significantly to mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.(ANSAmed)
