(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 2 - The ceramics exhibition
entitled "Na Azurnoj Obali" (On the Azure Coast) by renowned
Spanish artist Pablo Picasso is opene in the Beko Hall near
Belgrade's Kalemegdan Park.
As curator Jelena Kanacki told the exhibit will comprise a
number of rarely displayed sculptures and artistic items such as
vases, mugs, plates and plaques crafted by one of the greatest
artists of the 20th century while residing in the old town of
Vallauris, on the French Riviera.
"The exhibit's title refers to Picasso's life on the Azure
Coast and his stay in Vallauris where he started to work with
ceramics and made about 3,000 decorative and functional items"
Kanacki said. The exhibit will mostly showcase ceramics items,
over 70 of them, as well as a dozen gold and silver artifacts.
