CEI: 'Safe Adria' to improve port of Bar (Montenegro)

(ANSAmed) - TRIESTE, FEBRUARY 21 - The goals of the 'Safe Adria' project, co-funded by the Central European Initiative (CEI), is to provide assistance to the Port of Bar to improve its capacity in the areas of environmental protection, safety and security at work. The project is closed with a conference on February 23. The event will gather representatives of the Consortium for the Intermodal and Logistics Training (CFLI), training structure of the Venice Port Authority, and the Port of Bar (Montenegro), project beneficiary of the 'Safe Adria' project.

Through experience and best practice sharing, the project contributes to boosting cooperation among its stakeholders in view of developing common safety procedures in the port infrastructures of the Adriatic area.

The CEI co-finances the project through the CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) with a contribution of 40,000 euros from the CEI Fund at the EBRD (financed by Italy). The total value of the project amounts to 87,000 euros. (ANSAmed).
