(ANSAmed) - TRIESTE, JUNE 12 - The projects approved today by
the committee of national coordinators at the Central European
Initiative (CEI) concern training of wheat farmers in Ukraine,
helping to deal with the issue of sustainable farming. The
project is linked to two investments by the EBRD of around 50
million euros, that aim to finance the capital requirements of
farming businesses.
Two of the other schemes financed involve energy auditing in the CEI region and the improvement of public transport in Belgrade. The fourth project is focussed on improving public procurement practices, with a masters course organised by the EBRD at Rome's Tor Vergata University. Finally, the project Entreprise Growth Programme by the Ukrainian Mixnet will improve corporate procedures for the acquisition of goods in an environmentally responsible way, in a telecommunications firm in the country.
