(ANSAMed) - ROME, AUGUST 10 - Paris St.Germain edged out Inter to snap up Corinthians midfielder Luca Moura, 19, to the tune of 35 million euros, French media reported on Friday.

Moura arrives in Paris in January, where he is to sign a four-season, 250,000 euro a month contract. Striker Damiao, who like Moura has showcased his talents at the Olympics, is still on the market, with Tottenham and Manchester City both making overtures.

Manchester City is rumored to be getting rid of Adebayor and Dzeko by month's end, and reportedly has its eye on Daniele De Rossi, with United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayd al-Nayan offering more than 30 million euros for the Roma midfielder. Roma has sold Pizzarro to Fiorentina.

Manchester United is also seeking a striker to team up with its star Wayne Rooney, and Robin van Persie is that man, according to manager Alex Ferguson. ''We made an offer, and must persevere to beat the competition from other clubs,'' Ferguson told reporters.

But Arsenal would prefer van Persie not to go to a Premier League team. Juventus is interested, but may not be able to afford him. Juventus also has its eye on Manchester City player Kolarov and on striker Llorente, whose cancellation clause with Bilbao Athletic is worth 35 million euros. The striker has already said he intends to leave once his contract is up in 2013, so Bilbao Athletic may be willing to sell him cheap rather than let him go for free. Barcelona is waiting in the wings, hoping to get him next summer.

Turkey's Galatasaray has bought Juventus' Brazilian midfielder, Felipe Melo. The Istanbul club, which wants to become a key player in Europe, is also bidding on Arshavin, just back in Arsenal after a stint at Zenit Saint Petersburg. He finds himself in new company, as his team just laid down 16.5 million euros to acquire Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla from AC Malaga.

Real Madrid is still negotiating for Lukas Modric, but may not be able to pony up the 40-million-euro asking price for the Croatian midfielder. Another way would be to sell Kaka', who wants to go to Milan, but Berlusconi's team has already made known it will only take him on loan. ''If Milan wants Kaka', it must pay,'' Mourinho has said. Meanwhile the Madrid team renewed Argentine outfielder Angel Di Maria's contract through 2018.

Claudio Ranieri's AC Monaco beat out Napoli to acquire Argentine talent Lucas Ocampos, 18, from River Plate for 16 million euros. (ANSAMed).
