Serbia: Nebojsa Rodic appointed security agency chief

(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 3 - Nebojsa Rodic was appointed at the Friday government session as the new director of the Security Information Agency of the Republic of Serbia (BIA), the government released.

Rodic is an attorney by vocation and he performed the office as the secretary general of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic since May 31.

He served as the secretary of the Republic Electoral Commission in 1997, secretary of the commission for conducting the 1998 referendum on the participation of foreign representatives in the search for a solution to the problems in Kosovo. After this, he worked in the Serbian National Assembly Secretariat and later transferred to the Interior Ministry, where he held office as the assistant secretary general.
