(ANSAMed) - ATHENS, JULY 11 - There will be no more minimum
wage cuts, Labor and Welfare Minister Giannis Vroutsis said
after meeting with General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE)
leader Giannis Panagopoulos today.
''All issues can be analyzed within a framework of debate between the parts,'' the Minister said.
''The government must commit to implementing whatever agreement will be reached,'' said Panagopoulos, whose union, one of the two biggest in Greece, represents private sector workers. ''We will be judged on our capacity to obtain an agreement, but the government will be judged on its capacity to get it approved by the IMF-EU-ECB troika,'' the union leader added. (ANSAMed).
