(ANSAMed) - CAIRO, JULY 11 - The Cassation Court will review
the appeal against the suspension of the Constituent Assembly on
July 17, sources close to the Cabinet said today.
The hearing had originally been scheduled for September 4.
Also on July 17, the Cassation Court will review two appeals, one against the dissolution of Parliament, which was decided by the Military Council, and one against President Mohamed Morsi's decree reconvening Parliament.
The Presidency respects the Constitutional Court and the judiciary, and wishes to avoid a clash between institutions, the government said in a communique issued today.
The President reconvened Parliament only to fill a legislative void, but talks between political forces, institutions and the judiciary will be called to find the best way out of this situation, the communique said.
The presidency respects the Constitutional Court's annulment of the presidential decree, because ''Egypt is governed by the sovereignty of the law and respect for institutions,'' the communique said. (ANSAmed).
